Adrian's POV

Just as I drove the car into the water, I unfastened my seatbelt and wrangled out of the car, even though it became difficult because of the airbag that protruded out when the car hit the water harshly.

Once out, I swam towards the other side of the car to Sofia as she was still struggling to make her way outside. The car was going down in the deep, fast.

We needed to be quick.

Grabbing her hand, I pushed at the airbag for her to move her body before tugging her out. With the little street light that illuminated the dark water, I found her panicked wide green eyes as she wrapped her arms around my neck; her chestnut hair moving along with her.

I ducked low as bullets started to shed through the water.
