Chapter Thirty One: Father Meets His Daughter
"Are you certain?" asked East.
They're in front of Elizalde's building. Elize was disguised as an applicant. She had an envelope and a resumé in it.
"He took off the surveillance cameras I had installed. And he did it purposely. What does it look like to you?" says Elize.
East is silent. "I don't know what's happening inside Dark Phoenix, but I don't have a good intuition. It's just that when the cops came to the port at the time, no one else knew about the transaction except the two of us,” Elize said.
Elize's just done her makeup. She faced East again.
"I took the assignment because you're with me, East. I trust your judgment. But in the process, it seems they're doing something for the two of us that I can't understand,” Elize said.
"I don't think they have such a plan, El. They gave me the job because they knew we could make it. One more thing, you already have our first evidence, we're holding Gavin." said East

He took Elize's drink and emptied it. Gavin couldn't figure out his feelings. He seemed excited by the way he was thinking. What if he thought it wrong? But he might try anyway.
