Victor POV I stood there in Alpha Rick’s office observing the exchange between him and Tori. She was nervous as first, but relaxed more as time went on. Rick was careful in how he spoke to Tori, choosing his words carefully, he did not want to upset her, or come across as controlling since they just reunited. When Alpha asked Tori to take his hand and concentrate on him, I watched her face contort into so many emotions, it was heart wrenching. Seeing her brows go up in surprise then she frowned, then she lowered her head with tears falling from her eyes. I felt so helpless then, but I understood that the Alpha wanted her to see what happened. I guess this was easier than having to say it out loud to his daughter about he treated her mother. Tori POV I sat there opposite Rick, holding his hand as he bowed down trying to hide the tears in his eyes. For many years I have struggled with the thought of who and where my real father was. Wondering if he missed me or was he even looking for me. I asked my mother a few times about him, and got nothing but anger and attitude from her, but no answers. If I wanted to find him and know him, I was on my own. After many years of my internal battle against curiosity and fear, curiosity won and I started actively looking for him. Tori POV I grab onto Victor’s arm as I scan the angry crowd around me. They continue to stare at me with contempt and distrust in their eyes. Victor is shouting to them to stand back, but no one listens. I am pulled from Victor and thrown to the ground. I look up at my assailant and see angry eyes peering back at me. He raises his hand as if to strike me when I hear a tremendous roar that shakes the ground. “Enough! Victor POV “What the hell man! What were you thinking?” I yelled at myself as I high-tailed it back to the pack house. She was in my arms and I was in hers. I could feel her emotions were all over the place, but she was happy and excited to be with me. As our kiss became more heated and frantic, her hands began to roam my body as did mine. Her warm, soft skin felt amazing under my touch. I could hear her heart rate increase and her breathing turned to panting in only minutes. As we got lost in our inhibitions, I asked her to be mine. Tori POV About twenty minutes later, we arrive back to the packhouse. I jump off Ivan, and he shifts back into Victor. As I’m trying to look away but subtly stealing a peak at his very impressive, muscled physique, he reaches into a tree stump and grabs a pair of shorts. I hear him chuckle as he pulls them up. “So, was that exciting or what?” He glanced down at me with a cat ate the canary look. “Honestly, I was terrified, but… “ Victor lost his smile to an expectant one. “It felt wonderful! Like I was flying! Amazing! And exciting.” I couldn’t help but laugh in giddiness at how wonderful it was to be with Victor and Ivan running through the forest. Mystic/Tori POV “No, I am Mystic.” I break out of my silent cage in Tori’s mind and push forward, sending her to the back seat. Tori can still see and hear what’s going on. Having never done this before, I wasn’t sure if Tori could handle it. She is strong, stronger than she knows, but she hasn’t quite come into all her healing powers yet and she blacks out. I look around the room admiring all the artwork on the walls of majestic wolves and what appeared to be their mates and pups. Beautiful mahogany wood furniture placed strategically around the office. Behind the Alpha were floor to ceiling bay windows where he could monitor activities of the pack. The training grounds were just outside the garden.
