Chapter 78

It's been three days since I found out about Clarissa's child in the hospital.

Inside the restaurant, we're waiting for Clarissa to arrive.

"Do you think she'll agree?" Rod asked.

"She's here," I whispered as I spotted Clarissa approaching us.

"Hey," she greeted, giving Rod and me a kiss in the cheek. Unlike before when she was so radiant, now she's not. She looks pale.

"Are you okay?" I asked with concern.

She nodded. "I'm fine. I'm sorry for being late," she said.

I looked at Rod, and like me, he's also worried about Clarissa.

"We can reschedule this if you want. You look so pale," Rod suggested.

"It's fine, Rod. Let's proceed. Is this about the divorce?" Clarissa asked.

"I'll agree to the divorce. Don't worry," she added.

Rod sighed and sat back in his chair.

"Yes, but I don't want to give you any part of the Chavez estate," Rod said bluntly.

Clarissa nodded, not even surprised. It's as if she expected it. She didn't get angry either.

"I understand. I'm not after your wealth, Rod,"
