Chapter 35

Ash's point of view

She said yes, and I feel like the happiest man in the world. Tonight has been a strange night, a night full of mixed emotions. I let those emotions get the better of me as I just blurted out those four little words.

"Will you marry me?"

In my head, I had planned to do things so differently, but she said yes!

"You mean it?"

I ask as she giggles, "Of course, I mean it, Ash, I cannot wait to be your wife."

I chuckle as I say. "I'm sorry, I never meant to ask you like this. I wanted to make it perfect."

She wipes away her tears as she whispers. "Ash, I'm glad you asked me tonight; you opened up to me tonight and told me things that nobody else knows, even though it was hard for you to do. To end this night like this is perfect."

I grin before walking over to my bedside table and finding the ring that I have been hiding away; I walk back over to Anna, taking her hand in mine before dropping to my knees as I say.
