When Cybel awoke Star led her down the stairs to the Alpha’s private dining room which was generally used for guests, but given her recent experience they didn’t want to scare her with all the prying eyes.

Will’s four paws skidded to a halt even before he saw the arrow whizzing his way, the group of wolves behind him, coming just as much of an abrupt stop. It didn’t take a genius to know they were under attack. “Dad, attack at the northern border.” Will fixed his stance and growled in the direction the arrow came from, he could hear footsteps and the crack of dry leaves and sticks, but they had yet to show themselves. Whoever this was wanted to get their attention. The hour ticked by at a snail’s pace, the sun was already high in the sky and the morning’s patrol was now a morning tragedy, Max didn’t know how to face his pack.
