I open my eyes to see a familiar face looking back at me. "Hunter?" I call out, not believing what I'm seeing.Images of the last time we were intimate like this cloud my mind making my heartbeat rush in adrenaline. Over the next week, Asher and I worked tirelessly to form a plan so that we could dig up intel on Eli and Everett. We did as much as we could from overseas, but now it was time to go in person. So far, I managed to deduce that Eli was, in fact, giving intel to Everett, but what we didn't know was whether Eli was aware of this or if Eli was the mastermind behind it all. From the information I found, it would be easy to point fingers at Eli, but part of me still had doubts. I wasn't sure if it was because Eli was close to my family, so I didn't want to think that he could be the one behind all of this. But the more information I found, it was growing increasingly difficult to prove otherwise. I was able to find a deep hack in the FBI system that sent confidential information directly to Everett. I waited in the car for over thirty minutes. I needed to ensure that neither Eli nor Everett expected us to be together. If they managed to discover that we came together, we would most definitely be in danger. I can't help but feel a sense of disappointment and annoyance as Eli begins his explanation. I already knew all of that, so why was he telling me what I already knew? Was he trying to stall? ...Asher POV...I didn't want to add to Sienna's nerves by telling her that I also had a bad feeling. I couldn't explain why, only that something seemed off to me. But as I looked at my watch, I realized that I needed to set that all aside. I needed to put my worries aside to focus on the task at hand. Sienna and I had come a long way. In less than a month, we managed to uncover the person that has been behind all of this. I could see why Everett would be behind this. Out of the two of them, he was the only one that had a motive.
