One Hundred and Eight.

Aiden

She shifts her gaze away from me, turning those beautiful golden eyes to the ceiling. She hated the very words coming out of my mouth. To her I was speaking a reality that wasn’t true.

She had been so excited to see our pup, so eager and then just like that, she dismissed him, as if he were nothing. Cayden had done nothing wrong. How could he, he was just a pup. A tiny innocent pup that was born far too early. He was lucky to be alive.

“Bella, you need to say something!” I demand while grabbing her face and forcing her to look at me.

She hits my hand away and clenches her teeth together. “Don’t do that.” She growls

“I don’t know how else to help you, Bella. I’m trying to make you see sense. I am trying to understand why you are rejecting him.”

“Maybe this time, you can’t.” She pushes me out the way and crosses the room to the bathroom, slamming the door in my face when I try following her.

None of her emotions made sense. Anger, hate, regret but no sadness for her situation.
