Chapter 50
The Rogue army was waiting for them as they got to the forest boundary. The feral wolves lined up in a perfect row underneath the dense untouched woodland. The ancient giants swayed unbothered in the gales that sang through the ragged treetops above.
Nueva could feel the crisp wind against her skin, ruffling through her long locks, carrying with it the aromas of the landscape.
Its coldness roused her senses to wakefulness and alertness as they walked from the brighter light of the barren fields into the dim glow amongst the towering tree trunks.
Eira stirred in her head, lashing her insides in an agitated manner. Nueva knew Eira was more than ready to shift out and sink her deadly fangs into these feral animals.

Alpha Gray povAlpha Gray woke up face down in the dirt. Pine needles stung his drool-covered skin, and his body ached from being tied up with his arms on his back. Back outside, the tranquil winter landscape unveiled a serene weather change that lulled them into a false sense of security.
