Fifty Seven

My mother sat across from me listening intently as I explained my dreams. With one leg folded across the other, she set her sole focus on me. Once I was finished, a wide smile grew on her lips.

“Wow,” she gasped. “You’re more like your grandmother than I thought.” She chuckled as she shook her head absentmindedly.

I drew my eyebrows together. “How do you mean?” My mothers gaze met mine as she let out a content sigh. “Your grandmother, Lily, well she used to experience the same thing. Slightly different in the sense that she would dream of circumstances which were yet to happen. Whereas yours seem to be more intuitive. As if they are guiding you to what could happen, rather than what will.”
