Her words rang in the large hall and everywhere went silent. I could feel all the eyes on me, judging...my airways close up and I struggled to breathe. I couldn't be here anymore. I stood up from my seat and rushed out of the hall. I ignored my name being called and ran faster, my heart beating as I tried to get away. Tears welled in my eyes, blurring my vision as I made an escape. Strong hands grabbed my upper arm and pulled me to a stop. From his scent, I knew it was Tyron. I tried to get out of his hold but he tightened his grip.

"Look at me Nevaeh" he commanded but I couldn't.

"Look at me Nevaeh...please" his voice was softer this time, pleading instead of commanding. I raised my head and met his eyes, tears still blurring my vision.
