Chapter 63

I shouted at the top of my lungs as I thrust my sword through the giant's eye.

The impact from the blow was powerful and reverberated throughout my arm as I watched it puncture its way through, leaving a gaping wound in its wake. The pain in the giant's face told me that he was aware of what had just happened, and this thought sent a thrill through me. It felt like a true victory, one that would surely be recounted for years to come.

“DIE!”

I grasped ahold of the sword and pushed it back to me with my remaining strength, watching as the last enemy stumbled and fell before me, screaming loudly in fear and pain as he attempted to contain his injuries. His figure diminished from view as I allowed my own body to collapse onto the ground. Knowing that this battle was finally over gave me a sense of relief, but also an odd feeling of guilt for having taken another's life away from them. Despite this bizarre emotion, I felt triumphant over.

They took many lives from us…this is a fair fight.
