Natasha's POV

With my mother free, and Wippet and Lucien as prisoners, Thomas has been able to seize control of the pack. I'm not sure what my next move should be.

There's no way I can go back to the mansion where my father lived, not after what Lucien did. And even if I could, I'm not sure I'd want to. That place is filled with too many bad memories. So I decide to stay with my mother at the mansion where we've been staying. Even though we don't have any real jobs, Lucien's wealth is enough to last us for years to come. But I know I can't just sit around and do nothing.

I realize that the child growing inside me, Lucien's child might be here sooner, it’s already been 6 months although my tummy isn’t protruding so obviously. And while I'm still filled with anger and hurt, I also know that I can't deny my child his or her own father. So, I go to Lucien to ask him one more time: Why did he do all of this? What was his reasoning? I need to understand, for my own sake and for my child's.
