CHAPTER 36.
"What?" Dane was sure he heard her very well.
"I said I'm going to break up with Cynthia." She murmured, pulling back from him to look at his face. "It's not fair to her. Being with her when she is not the one I want. I can only be with her sexually even though I haven't, but the person I want—the man I want—is you. We all can't go on like this."
Dane felt a feeling warming up his chest. He felt good at the thought. Too good. "Are you doing this because it's what you want or because you feel like that's what you have to do? Is it because I told you that Cynthia and I are no longer together as a couple?"
She thought about it and shook her head. "It's not that. It's because I've come to realize that I want to be with you more than I want to be with Serena. It's going to be just the both of us as always." she sighed and placed her head on his shoulder.
