Serena was still cleaning up her apartment when the door opened and Joshua entered. She barely stopped herself from hissing. She didn't want to see Joshua—at least not after a long journey where she's so tired and needs rest.
She'd gone home to visit her family and also get more money from home. Her Ma had complained about no money as usual and it had made her very angry. She'd lashed out and insulted her Ma, cursing their poverty. At last, her Ma had had no other choice than to go and borrow some money for her.
She just arrived few hours ago at her apartment and she had lectures to attend to tomorrow morning. Lorraine was the person she seriously wanted to see now and not Joshua. She'd planned to go see him later.
