Plan

"Laura, can you hear me?" I hear someone speak. I slowly open my eyes and notice a stranger through my blury eyes. 

"Can you feel your leg?" he questions me. I put pressure on my feet. My left foot stung again. 

I nod

"It's hurting" I whisper.

"That's a relief" he says. 

I blink my eyes a few more times and look around; an IV tube ran out from my hand. 

"Mom, where's mom?" I ask staring at the doctor.

"She's fine. Resting" he says. I nod. 

"Tell the nurse if you need something" he informs me pointing at a nurse and leaves. 

"Where is mom?" I ask the nurse.

"She's in the next room, dear" she informs me with a smile. 

I drift back into unconsciousness. 

A sting in my hand wakes me up again, the nurse was removing the tube for my palm.

"How are you feeling, now?" she asks me.

"Better" I say and sit up slowly. 

"What's wrong with my leg?"
