Hayley’s POV
I run to where Marcus has been abandoned, he was battered and bruised but he still embraced me with the little energy he had left. Whatever my great grandfather had done to him, I was certain Luna TJ was going to make him suffer. I helped Marcus to his feet and shoulder some of his weight as we make a move away from all this, this lie my great grandfather had created.
A part of me felt like I had to protect Aslo, he had raised me after all but was that even the truth, I had no idea if what he has taught me over the years is even true.
