“I have things to discuss with the mother of our pack’s heir.”

Those words sent a chill through my body. It has taken Imogen so long to get me ready that it is almost dusk. It feels like the middle of the night as the predicted thunderstorms crash across the skies. The huge, echoing ballroom has no windows to see the lightning flashes but the thunder rumbles deep enough to make the empty bottles on the floor dance with the vibrations.

“Of course. I am almost halfway through-”

“Why didn’t you tell me?” He spat, uninterested in my information. He pushed the floppy, greasy white hair from his face. “How could you be so stupid as to take the future heir of this pack away from their father!”

“I was upset. I didn’t think you cared for me anymore.”

Damn that Philippe is so totally off his rockers. I see some delusional narcissistic traits as wel. He really is a piece of work Hope Freya can get him. But expect that this is the night that Nikolai and Cillian come marching in and we have to wait to the end of Philippe until the next part.
