When Levi saw me, he did not compliment my appearance or even tell me that I had a great appearance. This made me feel a little bit sad. I had no requirement for him to bolster my ego or alleviate any of my insecurities in any way. Because I had dressed up for his benefit, it just would have been lovely if it had happened. But he treated me with the same total lack of concern that he had in the past.

His office was spacious and impressive, and it was located in a large building that also housed a number of smaller offices and conference rooms.
