I gasped out in shock, unable to believe my ears. The drowsiness faded away for a while and I found my way into the room with an angry look on my face. I clenched my fist as I stared at Jessica and her personal maid, Lilian, sitting together on the bed. I'm not angry about their closeness but I'm angry that they were talking ill of my mate. They even want her dead.

"Why are you talking about my mate?" My voice didn't come out as cold and fierce as I wanted it to sound. The alcohol is having its effects on me.

I have consumed a large quantity of alcohol. I snapped out of my thoughts and threw a cold glare at her.

Though I wasn't aware of what they were planning, I have a feeling that it has to do with my mate because her name was mentioned. I wasn't able to know their plans because I barged into her chamber before I could control myself.
