Chapter 70: The Unexpected Kiss

I looked up as a knock landed at the door. I stood up from the chair and rushed toward the door. A smile broke out on my lips as I stared at the man before me. He looked so handsome and hot. He was my mate, Alessia.

I ran into his arms and hugged him. I sniffed the scent that I had been craving. I stared at him with a confused look. It was quite strange that he didn't hug me back when I hugged him.

I knew there was something wrong with him because he doesn't behave that way.

"What's wrong with you?" I asked with a confused look.

"Nothing. I'm fine,"

"But you don't look good to me," I replied and followed him behind.

He pulled off his suit and threw it away to the floor. He sat down on the bed, and I sat down beside him.

"I just said I'm fine. I'm not in a good mood to talk," he said, his voice filled with pain and sadness.
