Chapter 14

Alpha Kristen's POV

The boring meeting with the council finally came to an end. It was the worst one I had ever gone to. The head of the council was worried about nothing very serious in particular. Just a couple of hearsays here and there. Old people's ears were always sharp to catch rumors.

As the council dismissed, I called back Don De la Vega.

"My Alpha," he said with a deep bow.

"De la Vega. You made some very good points during the meeting."

De la Vega smiled.

"I thank you for your kind words, Alpha Kristen, but I'm very sure that you, My Lord, were not paying much attention. I know that you hate when the council calls for a meeting. So I guess it is safe to presume that there is something else that you would like to talk to me about."

I smiled back at De la Vega.

"You know me too well. Yes there is something I'd like to discuss with you. Do have a seat."

We sat back down at the round table and De la Vega looked at me seriously. Anytime there was something to discuss
