Chapter 52

Amelia ran without looking back. She could feel all the air in her lungs leaving as she took each leap and tried to get further ahead.

A creature was grunting behind her. Amelia could sense its heated body behind her. She didn't need to get a werewolf to know that the creature was not there to make friends.

It wanted to eat her.

Amelia ran fast. She tilted to her left as she tried to run past the trees.

Suddenly, the woods looked even darker than they usually did. Up ahead, Amelia could see a fog.

A fog?! She shuddered. How was she going to see a fog?!! At night?!!!

"What the hell?!" She yelled while she still ran towards it. Her hands had cringed to her sideways, supporting her body. She felt the creature's breath once more on the back of her foot. It was gaining on her.

Amelia felt a chill down her spine. "Oh no!!"

All through her meeting with Alpha Alex, she had never needed him like she did now. She had in fact taken him for granted up until now.
