Her Resolve

[Diego’s POV]

I only give a smile at Chanel’s words. There was no telling how things would go when I returned home. I was sure that my father would be against my choice to dissolve the engagement between Kate and me, but even then, I wouldn’t go along with it. Once that issue was solved, I would slowly win over Rosalie’s affection.

“You’re already whipped.” Chanel giggles. “Look at you trying to be good and not give into the heat that is coming all for one woman.”

“Shut up.” I snap, taking my position against the trunk of the tree I chose to use. “Just go ahead and do what I brought you here to do. Once you’re finished, you should get back and prepare yourself as well, unless..."

“Not gonna happen.” Chanel sighs, catching on to exactly what I meant. “He doesn’t see me as anything more than a past student.”

Nodding, I feel a bit of sympathy for her. Since we were training under Anthrose, I knew that Chanel had a thing for him, but due to their age difference and his sense of duty, he w
