Esme's POV

Convinced that there was nothing left on my schedule for the day, I urged Amy to follow me back to the hotel.

She readily agreed given that we've missed each other and there was still a lot of catching on to do.

I made sure she took off that ugly Janitor's uniform and changed into the outfit she wore to work, a simple plaid skirt and a tank top.

She had revealed to me that she did not have a room or house of her own and had been squatting with a kind human she met on her first day here in her small house.

Looking at Amy's condition, I couldn't help but blame myself over and over for not making arrangements to see to her comfort as soon as I left the pack.

Amy is the only family I have left and it is my responsibility to ensure her safety and well-being.
