I received information from the men I secretly put in charge of Esme's safety that she reunited with a relative of hers earlier that day.

From the description that was sent to me, there was no doubt it was Amy, her adopted sister who had been declared missing a few weeks after Esme left the pack.

I knew about Amy's disappearance from the werewolves from the vicious canine pack that I placed in Howell's pack to monitor every activity until Esme was ready to take her legal place.
