Chapter Thirty-One (Anders)

I awoke with a headache from hell. The onslaught of dreams that I had witnessed overloaded my mind. Isla and I in multiple different lives. Each dream ended in her death and me following close behind. I stood, still feeling exhausted.

“You’re going to listen to me!" Vilkas yelled before adding, "You won’t acknowledge the dreams I’m sending you, then you can expect more barrages of them until you do. I have one month to get you to smarten the fuck up.” He snarled.

Checking the time, I walked towards my bathroom, stripped and stepped into the shower, letting the water run over me. I didn’t answer Vilkas. I don’t think he has ever been this angry with me.

“I want her too, but I couldn’t break the law to do it. We’d end up just as dead as her parents.” I finally thought to him.

“Oh, so instead you’re just going to let her die for both of you. If you let her die, you will never know peace again. I’ll make sure of it.”
