Chapter Thirty-Three (Anders)

“Why can’t I go see her?” like they could keep me from my prisoner. “I’m going.” Why was my Beta Shaw working against me? I paced my back and forth in my office as he watched me warily.

It had been a week and a half since I last saw her, and it took everything I had to keep myself from visiting her in the dungeon. Luckily, between training and Alpha duties, I could keep busy.

Vilkas, on the other hand, was a broken record in my head demanding that I go see her and find a way to keep her alive, so we could be with her. He was driving me crazy. Every time I tried to put her out of my mind, he’d bring her up again. He refused to speak unless it was about her.
