Victoria's outburst II

When I was done with her, I walked out of the room to meet Jane who was still enjoying her meal. Beside her was an empty seat with Victoria's food turning cold still on the table.

“Are you done?” I asked after seeing her stack her plates and collapse on the chair with a satisfied sigh.

“Yeah,” she smiled before noticing that I wasn’t happy as I sat in my seat. “Is something the matter?”

“It’s Victoria. She’s being… difficult.” It had taken me a while to find the word to use in describing her and what she was.

“She’s going to come around,” she smiled. “I know she’s stubborn and can be a pain but I don’t think she’s that bad.”

Oh poor naive Jane. If only she knew what kind of demon Victoria could be if she wanted to be difficult.

Someone ran in to meet me and whisper a message into my ear.

I narrowed my eyes after hearing what the messenger had to say.

I stood and excused myself from the table, following the guard out of the palace to get to the garden which was brightly lit.
