Chapter 68

I lay on my bed with my eyes closed. Sleep hadn't come to lull me away yet and the events of the day kept running through my mind.

I heard the sound of my door opening and I opened one eye to see who it was that had come into my room.

It was Arnou.

“How are you feeling now?” he asked softly.

I sighed and sat up gently.

“That's all everybody keeps asking me. What am I supposed to say? That I'm not fine?” I replied weakly.

Arnou strode towards me softly and began to remove his shirt.

“I know, you're not so happy with me because I supported Herley earlier,” Arnou said as he pulled the chair from my dresser and sat beside the bed.

“Yeah, I'm not exactly happy about that,” I replied honestly.

“But can you make me understand why? I understand that the both of you don't like each other.

That's understandable, I mean I don't expect you to like everyone. But what exactly has she done to make you hate her so much?” Arnold asked me carefully.
