Chapter 41: Changing Her

“Maybe something warmer than that,” my aunt said, but still threw the hoodie into a suitcase.

She had already filled one and was almost filling the second one too. I bet she would go on to a third if I allowed her to.

“Okay, let’s slow down,” I told her. “Just back a bag with a few of my stuff, and that’s that.”

I wasn’t actually expecting to live with Roman for long, so why would I need all of that? My aunt turned to me though, as I stood in the doorway to my walk-in closet and she looked at me, annoyed.

“A bag?” she asked.

“Why not?”

“You will need more than that, dear,” she told me and continued to look through my closet. “I am sure he will buy you some more clothes too, but it is always nice to have something with you from home.”

“I am not taking three suitcases with me,” I told her.
