One Hundred-Eighty-Eight
LocknessHi Readers, The next chapter (189) is only a short one as an introduction of what is to come. The next few chapters, including 189, will be done from the third person POV, as there is no way to tell this part of the story from just Zachariah's POV. This next part is bigger then just him. The chapters will follow all the characters involved, including Alpha Zachariah, Zaire, Farris, Charles, and Valentino as they each have to face the coming battle. -- PRE BATTLE -- Zaire and Farris walk in the opposite direction as Zachariah enters the strategy tent to make his phone call. -- BATTLE --The extra warriors, including Alpha Ryan, had joined Zaire about 15 minutes before Zachariah had given the all-clear to enter the PowerMoon pack territory. Zaire had informed Alpha Ryan of everything that was happening and by the time he had finished explaining, Alpha Ryan was ready to enter PowerMoon territory without Zachariah’s all-clear.Alpha Ryan, however, knew that this team of the mission was run by Zaire, so even with being an Alpha, no one moved without Zaire’s say-so. --- BATTLE CONTINUES ---Farris then faces the other two. They were actually quite good, not allowing him to get close enough to do more than scrape the tips of his claws over their skin. What they didn’t realise was that he was making more than one cut at a time, so with every small cut that their healing healed 2 to 3 more would continue to bleed slowly, weakening them both.Farris keeps this up until one of the warriors makes a misstep allowing him to get close enough to grab his throat, digging his claws in either side and then ripping his hand and claws forward. The Lycan warrior slumps to the ground as Farris then opens his hand allowing the chunk of flesh to fall to the ground.The final Lycan warrior steps back and holds up his hands, falling to his knees as he looks at the three laying on the ground around him. --- BATTLE CONTINUES --- **Meanwhile** Alpha Zachariah moves out in front of his team and crosses over the border and into PowerMoon territory. It isn’t long before he is joined by 3 sets of patrols; he nods to them as they fall in with the warriors behind him. Zachariah was only about half a mile from the border when he came across the first warrior camp. It was only an average camp with only low-level warriors within it. Morpheus stirred within Zachariah. He frowned but did what Morpheus wanted and used his new Royal Alpha tone, spreading it throughout just the small camp. “Those who are under Alpha command to fight and protect, I release you… Stand down!” Zachariah is only a little surprised when 95% of the warriors in the small camp relax their stance and then sit on the ground. The other 5% continued with their fighting stance. Zachariah smiled and said, “So… You are the ones here by choice. Come on, let's see what you have…” Zachariah is then surrounded by around a doze

--- BATTLE CONTINUES ---Valentino instructs his warriors to get to their positions protecting the camp, the females inside and him. Valentino is however surprised when he hears someone approaching from the opposite direction. He turns around and lets out a sigh of relief, walking over to meet Delta Lucas as he enters the camp.“Lucas, what are you doing here?”“I heard that we had a border breach. I was taking my team to check it out…”Valentino then looks behind him at his warriors, noticing that a few of them already have injuries. --- BATTLE CONTINUE --- Yasmine doesn't get a chance to answer that as she steps back again, getting to the point that the edge of the cliff behind her is now under her feet. Valentino stops moving and watches Yasmine closely as she looks down at the small pup in her arms and her face lights up a little when she gives him a small smile. She then looks at him again and whispers, “If you do manage to see Zachariah before he kills you, can you tell him that I am sorry?…” This time Valentino doesn't get a chance to answer as he then watches in horror as he takes another step forward, but she turns and slightly jumps over the edge, her sweet voice echoing as she screams, "Zzaacchhaarriiaahh..." Valentino lunges for Yasmine but misses her by millimetres, managing to stop just in time as a little of the cliff gave way under his foot. ZACHARIAH I feel someone touch my shoulder and then crouch down next to me. I barely hear him as he asks, “Zachariah… Was she here?” I don’t answer him, as it feels like I failed her once again. My heart hurts in my chest and Morpheus is whimpering while pacing right in the back of my head. Whoever is crouching beside me speaks again, “Zachariah… Zachariah…” I turn my head and look to where the voice is coming from and see Alpha Isaac with a concerned but serious face. I watch as Isaac walks slowly over to where she is standing and hesitantly lifts his hand and places it on her cheek. She flinches but lifts her head to look at him.
