Luna

Aikiz opened her eyes, and Harvey saw a real Luna, a queen in the making. She turned to him and whispered, “Although Gin showed huge disrespect, you kept him alive. Thank you, Master.”

“I didn’t want to worsen the tension between us and the Brown Pack.”

Aikiz smirked at his lie, “How silly. I thought you did it for me… To not break my heart even more.”

Harvey took a deep breath and answered, “And why should I do a favour to someone like you? Someone who betrayed my trust?”

So, that's it. He will continue humiliating her for a crime she didn’t commit!

The girl laughed, mocking herself, “You too deserve no love, Lycan Harvey.”

Those words hit him like a hammer. But he never let it show, “I’m no Lycan. And I don't wish to be one.”

“You damn well know who you are!”

“Watch your language, child.”

“Forgive me, but no one else can ever be a Lycan. The day you wake up and choose to fight for what is rightfully yours, I will have your back. But for the moment, excuse me, I guess I have to leave.”

Aikiz never thought those mere words were enough to drive the calm Harvey crazy. He blocked her way out and growled, “What the hell did you just say?” Harvey never talked to her in such a ruthless tone, and never used such a vocabulary. “Apparently you can’t see it, little thing, but you have just made yourself the enemy of the Brown Pack! You can’t go out!”

As a response she screamed, “You can’t make me stay by force! I am not a child anymore!”

“I SEE NO ADULT!” He yelled at her face. “You are weak and incapable. So you will obey my orders like a good girl!”

“I won’t!” Aikiz pushed him away in anger and ran to the door. Only to be caught in the matter of two seconds. “Let go of my arm! You hate me! I can’t stay by your side!”

“You are weak, you can’t survive alone. And every powerful wolf in the city wants you in his bed!”

“Damn you! Why would you care?!”

“I don’t! But you have to, Aikiz! That’s just the way of the world! You do whatever it takes to stay alive!”

“I don’t want to stay alive! In fact, you gave me a brilliant idea!”

With her free hand, the girl got her gun out and pointed it at her head.

“FOOL!” Harvey yelled and caught her hand, making her shout at the ceiling instead of her head. He slapped her so hard that she fell to the ground. And he took the gun off.

“Let go!” Aikiz cried.

But Harvey had no mercy, now that he saw the cost of mercy. He knelt to reach her. She resisted bravely. But she was a boat of paper meeting a tornado. He was calm, yet firm. And that made her even more terrified. “Please, let me go. I can’t stand seeing you with Juliette! I can’t stand you gaslighting me all the time! I can’t stand staying here! The castle only brings me painful memories. Please, if it is not out of friendship, let it be out of mercy. Let me go!” The girl whined and cried pitifully. But Harvey didn’t care. He punched her ruthlessly in the stomach till she lost consciousness. Now that she was moveless, he carried her in his arms like a sleeping beauty.

“Martha”, he called the housekeeper.

“Your orders, master.”

“Reopen Aikiz's room. And clean it.”

“Yes, master!”

Harvey smiled at her excitement. She added,  “Will you take the precious child again under your wing?”

“As long as she has no other protector.”

“That’s good news, master!”

“I know.” Harvey smiled as he looked at the girl. “But she may resist a little more. So I have to make her submit first.”

“But, master.. She just got a huge shock. Maybe you should go easy on her.”

“I hate that, Martha. I hate it as I hate the desire I have for her. But I have to do it.”

“Maybe you should go easy on yourself as well.”

“No…” Harvey smirked “I am a monster, just like Father. This desire reminds me of it. God only knows how I can make her submit without breaking her.”

“Master…”

“Go ahead, Martha. Do what I asked.”

“Yes.” She said and was about to go when she recalled something important. She turned to Harvey with a worried complex. “But, what about Omega Juliette?”

“She should never know that Aikiz is the Luna”

“But in that case… she would torture the child!”

“Aikiz got me. Juliette can’t hurt her.”

“But master, I am not talking about physical scarring. She will bully her.”

Harvey bit his lower lip and smirked: “It’s laughable how I can’t stop hurting the child I’d let my kingdom burn for. It’s even more laughable how much pleasure I get doing so.”

An hour later, Aikiz woke up aching.

Her hands and legs were tied to the bed. The bed was comfortable and warm. The room was dark. And Aikiz recognised it. She used to bring food and medicines to the late Lady Lily when she stayed in this room.

It was the punishment room. Here, Lily, the late Luna and the mother of Harvey, spent the nights with her obsessed husband. George, The late Lycan and the father of Harvey, used to imprison his wife in this room and punish her every time she showed the slightest disobedience. After long hours of punishment, the lady wouldn’t be able to leave the bed. She would ask to be served there. And she would ask Aikiz to stay by her side.

“Are you sick again, ma’am?” Little Aikiz would ask.

“You see, honey. I have a very weak body. I get sick easily.” The lady would lie, forcing a smile.

“Should I get you a doctor?”

“No, honey. I just need company. Stay by my side for a while.”

Recalling those old memories made Aikiz realise that the late Luna loved her like a real daughter. Also, the late Lycan was a monster. This room is the proof.

“And what the hell am I doing here?” Aikiz murmured.

Aikiz got her senses back. She tried to break free and cried for help but no one answered her. After a minute of hysterical cries, she calmed down. Only then, a man stepped from the dark: He was Harvey. And he was carrying a whip.

Aikiz almost threw up in terror.
