Carlo's heart was rocked by Cynthia's gaze, a sight of death and determination, as if she was saying goodbye to the world.

She lay limp on the floor, like a dead fish that had given up struggling.she was not striving or suffering.

She could not feel anything anymore.

Now before her, her future and her life were stained with a dirty, unforgivable stain.

She had been torn apart by fate, destroyed by this man, in the name of love.

Now she wanted nothing more, life or consciousness, it was better for her to be stripped of it all.

Carlo patted her stiff face with his hand, trying to rouse the person in front of him. But it was all in vain.

"Cynthia! Cynthia! Cynthia! You mustn't pretend, get up, I know I'm wrong. Don't you do this, don't you do this, I'm scared."

The person in his arms was no longer responding, her pupils were out of focus and her face drooped to the side.

"I know... I know it's all a pretence for you, right?

You're trying to lie to me again, wake up! I won't believe it."
