“He was being very mean and playing with scissors that why he got hurt.” I tell my kids as I try to come up with a reason as to why their uncle was around so many doctors, “Now the doctors are helping him get better. Axel has learnt his lesson now. He is nice to people and also finishes his homework on time and is also listens to his mother.”

The kids look at me with wide eyes before nodding their heads, wondering if I am telling the truth or not. I knew sooner or later as they grow old they will know what their father and family does but I would like to delay it as much as I can.

As I tucked the kids in for the night, I wondered where Archer has kept my stuff. I assumed it would be in the guest room, I usually slept in.
