Chapter Seventy-Nine: On Our Tail

Now there had been confirmation that I was indeed with child, the matter of how and when I was going to tell Vito was all I could think about. I knew I wanted to wait until after he had done the big job at the end of the week, I didn’t need him worrying about me when he’s in the situation of life and death but I also, knew how hard it’s going to be for me not to scream at him the first time we lock eyes.

Every now and then, I would see Louis taking a look in the cars mirror as though he was staring at the people in the car behind us, each time he would get a little more tense than the last.
