The Final Chapter

8 months later:

The bright lights of the sun streaming through the open windows cause my eyes to flutter open, feeling a little dazed at first, I look around and begin to panic at the scene. I was all alone in the huge bedroom before me, my mind of course going to the worst-case scenario as usual. Until a little note sat on the pillow beside me grabs my attention, it read:

“I thought you could do with a little more sleep after the night you had, Lucio and I have gone downstairs to allow you some rest. Take as much time as you need, Vito x”

With a smile at how sweet he was, I place the note to rest on top of the bedside table feeling the worry lift from my body. I barely had any sleep last night due to our son Lucio, having a rough night of his own. Vito kept asking if I wanted him to stay awake with me, but I knew at least one of us needed to be more alive this morning, but how nice he was that he took Lucio so I could get a little more rest.
