CHAPTER 28

Dread shimmered in my big eyes as I woke up with a jerk. I gasped when I saw him sitting on the single couch like a king.

Our gaze locked. My eyes blinked as they needed to shut. My gaze traveled down. His sleeves were methodically folded up to his elbows, showing off his forearms, tanned and strong arms. I felt at his mercy. I drifted my gaze around. He didn't speak a word or walked over to me. I wasn't certain about his memory store.

Quickly, I jumped out of the bed and hurried to the door. He did not try to stop me. I looked back at him confused.

He flashed an Innocent smile, totally opposite from his personality. I didn't know what to say to him.

"Considering to run away, wife?" He cocked his head and glanced at me. His smirk didn't waver.

"I'm not your wife." I never said it. My throat is clogged. It hurt so much.

"I never submitted them." He said.

I blinked. I took a step ahead, "What do you mean?" I snorted.

"You're my wife.
