EVELEEN'S POV

I stared at the door and he didn't come yet. I shouldn't bother about him. I haven't seen him since yesterday. Strange, his trusted men are guarding the house. He must have taken my threat seriously.

Good! He should.

"Where are they?" I asked. I was missing them.

Tom was busy with his laptop, "Mini and Rose?" He looked at me over the laptop.

I nodded, "I'm just asking. You must be missing your wife."

"That's mean. You don't miss your friends." He smirked.

"They aren't my friends." I blurted exasperatedly. I was still upset with them.

He chuckled, "Your face is telling something else, Evie," He moved his index finger in a circle in front of my face.

I slapped his finger away. He chuckled more, "I'm going for a walk. Alone." I rolled my eyes. There are a lot of guards. I could never be alone. No matter how hard I try.
