CHAPTER 34

I saw him through the corners of my eyes. My heart was beating in my chest. I peeled my attention from my husband and gazed at Rocky with astonishment, "Who taught you fruity-tooty?" I asked. The name didn't seem to be given by an expert cook but by a child.

"My sister," He said. He always masked his face with cruelty or no expression.

I felt a ping of sadness in my chest. I was a little mischievous girl for my brother. I always do something naughty to bring a smile to his face and ask him to give me cookies from the shelves. He was tall. He made me my favorite cheese sandwich. I stopped eating them after his death

"My brother..." I choked but halted, "When I was a kid. My brother was tall, he helped me with cookies to bring them down from the high shelf." I smiled.

Rocky looked at me for a sec and nodded his head.

I looked away to hide my tears but my gaze locked with his amber eyes. The lock of his jaw explained he still hated the tears in my eye
