CHAPTER 37

My heart kicked up a notch at the thought of Aarav coming with us. I was dam* sure he wasn't Aarav. I didn't even know that a man who was hit with a bullet in his head could survive. He had told himself that he was in a coma for almost a year.

I felt him around me. It was similar to the feeling when Duante shot him in the head.

My gaze turned to Tom, " My phone and laptop?" I asked.

I haven't even seen my gadgets properly, then all this happened.

"Here," Duante shoved the bag at my side and placed it between us.

I smiled seeing the latest version of the iPhone and laptop, "Thank you," I muttered to him again. You felt more freedom with your personal things. Though, I could hire any best designer in the world, any piece of jewellery, anything, impossible was nothing for me when I was Duante Rego's wife.

I clicked on Tom's number and tapped my index finger multiple times. I averted my gaze out of the door. Duante shouldn't know about it.
