I could feel the tension rising in the room topped with my heart beating faster all of a sudden. I could feel a heated gaze on me but was too afraid to turn around. "Are you nervous already?" Ryan's hand went to the small of my back, leaning forward.

"Not really. It's just that it had been a while since I came out like this." I lied even though it was partly true. I don't know how his father will react to seeing me and his son together.

Ryan had his playful smile on until it faded away all of a sudden. My heart thumped as I asked Ryan. "What's wrong?"

He didn't say anything and instead took a step forward, the action from him didn't fail to make my stomach churn with something hot. "It doesn't matter whether he's here."

"Who?" I asked even though I was ninety percent aware of what he was referring to. "Angelo."
