Mia’s pov

I stretched my hand out, fingers slowly brushing against my twin’s fingers while we both giggled. The entire place reeked of gasoline, but neither of us minded. The expression I could see on my twin’s face is one I was certain I was mirroring. There was not a single care in our minds, all we cared about was about each other’s wellbeing.

“What’s that?” My twin asked and I stared down at what I hadn’t noticed on my hand. It was a knife, a thin one, and my fingers were tightly wrapped around it. I hastily dropped the knife in horror and took a few steps away from it.

When I glanced back at my twin, she was grinning and rolling her eyes as she closed the distance and picked the knife up.
