Mia's POV

As soon as Lorenzo left, I felt like the people that were looking at me instantly multiplied.

It was as if some of them had tried to be cautious when he was by my side, but the moment he left, they were all trying to dig through my skin with their eyes.

I was able to swipe a glass of wine from one of the men that was serving and just focused on sipping it, but as soon as I remembered Lorenzo’s countless warnings about not drinking anything, I instantly spat the drink back into the cup, hoping that no one had caught that.

Suddenly I felt somebody tapping me on my shoulder and I turned around.

There were two pretty women behind me who looked about 5 years older than me and they were dressed quite extravagantly as well. One of them was a blonde with her hair up in a high ponytail and the other was a brunette with low cut hair.
