Chapter 61

Lorenzo’s pov

The scene I walked into on getting home, was so unexpected, it made me come to a standstill at once.

It was a scene of Mia, kneeling on one of the couches beside the window. She was looking out of it and singing a song while filled up the entire room. It was a familiar song that forced out some of the memories which I had shut down so many years ago. Her voice sounded like that of a siren, beautiful, melodic and oh so soothing.

She didn’t know she wasn’t alone, because she kept on swaying from side to side as each verse rolled off her tongue.

I leaned my head against the doorframe and let out a low curse. The fact that I had hoped to have fucked her out of my system a few hours ago, only for me to arrive here to an image like this which has only made me to once again be thinking of her over and over again.

She was singing a familiar song which my mother used to sing to me when I had been young. The song was in Italian, a language which I had no idea she was flue
