"Did you sleep well?" Kate smiled.

Annah had just woken up as she made her way to the living room, slumping on the couch. What she and Fred had done the previous night was still fresh on her mind and just thinking about it had her cheeks red from love. He was such a skilled lover and she hated that they weren't together. She didn't understand why they couldn't be together, love him but she knew the reason why. For as long as she still had a child with Connor, she couldn't really be free.

That child, whether she liked it or not, was a connector for the both of them. Not that she was regretting having the child, far from it but she hadn't wanted to have a baby in that situation.

"Is everything okay Annah," Kate smiled, sitting close to her.

"Yes… yes, I'm fine. Thank you," Annah said.

"No, you're not a child. You are crying," Kate sighed.

Annah touched her cheek and she realized how wet it was. She hadn't even realized that she was crying but her wet cheeks told her she was.
