Chapter Thirty Three

Panting from lack of breath, Agatha came to a stop once she reaches the entrance to the manor, holding her knees to balance herself as she fills her lungs with air. She has been running the whole Sunday morning, and now her lungs burnt from the exhaustion.

As she enters the manor and makes her way to her room, she feels another presence syncing along with her footsteps and following her, which she doesn't care. She already knows who it is.

Once inside her room, maid Tristi offers her a towel before running off to prepare her bath. Once alone, Agatha begins. "So what have you found?"

"Your brother’s autopsy results are out." Romeo declared, making Agatha scoff as she dabbed at her nape with the towel. "Took them long enough."

Romeo continued. "According to the doc, Xander had been chloroformed a few hours before his death, but before that he had also been highly intoxicated, since they found a huge amount of alcohol in his system."
