I couldn't comprehend what was going on. Ashton was towering over me as I sat leaned back on the couch. Pushing myself as far back as I could. His gaze was burning into me, and at the same igniting flames on my skin. His eyes were both undressing me and trying to kill me at the same time.
The intensity made me want to look away, to lower my head and disappear from under him. But I knew I couldn’t, I knew that there was no way out for me now.
I needed to tell him the truth. Only then did I have a chance of getting out of here, however slim, it was still a chance I needed to take.
”Are you going to sit?” I asked him, my voice trembling as I spoke.
”No.” One word. One word that sent shivers done my shive and made me gulp.
