Chapter 32.

I and Ashton were standing in the middle of my living room. Our bodies pressed together and our breaths fanning each other's faces.

We stood like this for several minutes without anyone saying a word. We didn't need to, just looking into each other's eyes with all cards laid out on the table and all truths exposed, was enough.

I saw him, I saw the man I fell in love with all those years ago, the man I hoped to be with forever.

Ashton's eyes diverted to my suitcase laying on the sofa and he quickly got angered, before controlling it.

”You’re not leaving,” he said softly and locked his eyes with mine again.

I gave him a sad smile and brought my hand up to caress his cheek.
