38 A quick plan

Not bothering to go back to sleep, knowing it was almost close to impossible with the way my body was clamouring for fulfillment, I took my MacBook laptop from the bedside drawer and I flipped the mail icon open.

With quick fingers, I sent a message to the Admission department of the best private British curriculum school in Canada, asking them if there’s yet to be an opening for my kids. And then because I was feeling so frustrated by it all, I attached a note telling them how desperate I was to make them start school and how I would not hesitate to enroll them in another school should they fail to respond positively.

Knowing it was too early to expect a response, I turned down the laptop impatiently, hoping they would respond positively this time around. They had told me the last time I called that I was number two on their waiting list.
